Ways to Work With Me

There are a number of ways in which we can work together -

in-person counselling, online counselling & outdoor counselling / walk and talk.

You can choose the option that works best for you.

Woodland Counselling - Hadlow Down

I offer counselling from a cosy cabin known as "The Heath Hut" located in Hadlow Down (very close to Uckfield, Heathfield, Horam and Crowborough). The woodburner keeps us cosy and warm in the winter and the skylight looks up to the tree canopy above. The Health Hut is nestled in a secluded and private spot under the trees - herbal tea also included!

Many clients who come to the hut find that being surrounded by nature helps to create a sense of ease and openness that is not always easy to find in more traditional style therapy rooms. It also provides a sanctuary away from the bustle of everyday life, helping you to gain a sense of presence for your sessions and to feel supported and nourished by the natural surroundings.

The health hut is conveniently only a short walk from a (free) car park at the woods, with easy access on foot.

I work as part of a holistic collective of practitioners promoting wellbeing in nature at the hut and you can read more about what is on offer at the hut here: https://www.wildernesswood.org/wellbeing.

In Person Counselling - Lewes/Uckfield

I offer in - person counselling from therapy rooms in Upper Stoneham - located a  a stone's throw from Lewes, Ringmer and Uckfield.

The therapy rooms are located in the countryside and form part an old converted granary -  full of rustic and earthy charm.

The rooms have been intentionally designed to help connect you to nature. They are secluded, cosy and provide a sense of homecoming from first arrival. Many clients who come to these therapy rooms find that the non-clinical setting helps them to feel both relaxed and comfortable.

There is free parking and good public transport links to Uckfield, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells/Brighton (the bust stop is located just down the lane from the barn).

Walk and Talk - Ashdown Forest

** COMING SOON**

I will soon be offering walking therapy on Ashdown Forest.

Walking in nature can help you to feel connected to something bigger, which in turn can help you to come out of a busy mind and gain new perspectives.

Many of my clients find that being outside in nature can feel calming, taking you away from the noise of life and instead fostering a sense of groundedness and presence, helping to balance your nervous system.

The natural surroundings will support you on your counselling journey and we will walk at your pace - even just sitting together if that feels right for you.

Online Counselling - Nationwide

I offer counselling online using Google Meet.

Working together online means that you can engage in your therapy sessions from a space and at a time that suits you. Many clients speak to me from their own homes and like to be in a familiar setting as it can help them to feel at ease

Online therapy is flexible and so you can choose times that fit in with your lifestyle - for example evening sessions or lunchtime sessions. It also means that I can work with clients from across the UK who would not otherwise be able to meet me.

You can expect the same offering from me as you would in person - it just means that we will be working via a screen. I believe that genuine connection can be created online, as well as in person.

I carry out online sessions from a private and confidential space. It is important that you also consider where you will be located for any sessions.  You will need to ensure that you are in an environment that feels safe and private and where you can talk without interruption.
